This just goes to show how desperate advertisers are to sell beer to men! What a disgusting ad. The sexual objectification of women in this advertisement, although appealing to the base instincts of men, is very derogative to women. How many women want to have it going on both ends. Get real! This is really quite smutty and I’m disappointed in you Guiness! Raise the standards!

our goal isn’t to advertise the beer or sex, it’s just a simple funny video, at least for many people

I’m sorry but I don’t agree with the statement that it is funny. I think it is just poor taste. :)

I’m sure I will find something of interest. I just wasn’t expecting it to be so graphic when I saw this on Digg and I thought it was advertisement from a friend’s new women’s beer, so was very shocked at what I was confronted with, which I would classify as pornagraphic.

Who says its a women? The ad sure doesn’t..

  11. dieselpower says:

    September 1st, 2008 at 7:15 pm

the concept of sex is man and woman, unfortunately nowadays that is changing but i still believe an beer ad would keep the old fashion way

Oh I agree 100% its about tag teaming a woman, but in terms of legality they never establish its a woman. I mean if a feminists group tried to file suit they could possibly get shot down.

  13. dieselpower says:

    September 2nd, 2008 at 7:38 am

yes you’re right, nowadays there is a legal issue in every corner and everyone must be careful about that

  14. Hayley says:

    September 2nd, 2008 at 8:27 am

Forget the legal issue, what about the moral one?

Would you like that to be your daughter, or sister, or mother, or aunt or cousin portrayed like that?

It may be funny to some pervert somewhere but for women who are not raving feminists but do care about who women are portrayed and the messages that advertising like this gives to the general public, after all it is on a public website, it isn’t funny at all. It’s offensive.

Thanks for the alliteration in your comment, however, name calling is really not warranted. In fact, it shows your inability to read common English, as I had just stated that I am not a feminist!!!

My comments have nothing to do with feminism. As a mother of three young girls who will one day be women, I protest on their behalf.

My comments are all to do with morality and the propagation of immoral imagery, which because it is constantly thrust down the throats of the general public who view it everywhere, including the supermarket checkouts, has become more accepted. However, that doesn’t mean that the silent majority agree with this kind of material – they are just silent.

So your comment that it is just an advertisement really shows your level of awareness.

OMG! It is just sex! Sex sells. Obviously there is not real sex going on in the commercial. It is a joke! The product being advertised is an adult product and the activity is an adult activity.

One doesn’t have to agree or like it but to be so outraged cracks me up! People need over themselves! We are a sexual beings and how each individual decides to explore that is their prerogative.

Women objectify men just as much as men objectify women! There is a a reason that firefighter calendars sell so well! Women like looking at hot men holding their fire hoses!

If we raise our girls to have a healthy attitudes about themselves then they will make good choices. Instead of being outraged at the ad, perhaps we should be outraged at how many teen pregnancies and teen STD issues we have going on because we are unwilling to ensure teens are informed of the risks of unsafe sex because if we do that, they might feel we are endorsing them to have sex. Ridiculous!

Very funny video….a good response to all commercials that take MEN as an object…..in 2008, it’s ok for a woman to take a guy as an object in many commercials but not the oposite???
Feminism as gone too far on certain ways and it’s a good way to make balance.
Anyway, it’s a great commercial, funny…my gf laugh when she saw it!!
    Great job!!

In reference to the post by CmOn, you don’t know me and just because you think it’s good to see a naked woman getting it both ends does not mean that I have to agree or that I should be silent about what I think.

Your comment of “Get over yourself…” demonstrates that you are intolerant of another person’s viewpoint. You may well say that I am intolerant of yours…

My point is that I don’t want my four children to ever have to watch something like this and I was not prepared for it myself when I clicked on a link that was sent to me. It is pornography, because you are supposed to think about sex when you watch this.

So obviously, my having an opinion about the lack of morals in 2008 makes me “out of date”. I’m sorry that doesn’t wash with me either. If everyone decides its okay to kill in 2009, does that mean that you expect me to tolerate that also? Majority opinon (or minority, which is yet to be determined, as often the majority fail to speak up about what they believe) does not necessarily make something right.

So laugh away, ha ha ha, but when someone you know is raped by someone who has been indoctrinated with images like this over a long period of time, perhaps you’ll not be laughing so hard.

It’s now well known that when humourous commercials are made with a women as a ”victim”, it’s not tolerate….but, you can take a guy and put him in a situation where he’s stupid or do something stupid, it’s ok and very funny!!
Take all those same commercials and put a woman in the same situation, next day everyone will disaproved it.
As for the childrens, dont blame the planet if you’re ”not prepared” before the ”fatal” clic on the link ;) ….as a responsible parent, you alway have to check your email without kids around…if you do it in front of them, it’s YOUR fault, not the commercial one.
Also, we all have the responsability to watch what our kid watch on the Net…OUR responsability.
